Okay Kiddos!
We are reading Because of Winn-Dixie and it is one of my favorites! In chapter 1 we find out how Opal meets her dog Winn-Dixie. Yep, she named him after the grocery store! She felt so sorry for him...seeing as he didn't look like he belonged to anybody.
Now, on to the the Fun Friday art stuff! We are looking for something fun and new for our art class, so I'm thinking, "Why not learn how to draw dogs?" So, here are some links to sites that help you know how to draw dogs!

Here's the "Practical Living" challenge:
1. Do some research and write a report on how to care for a dog.
2. Invite a veterinarian or animal shelter worker to speak to your class about how to adopt a pet.
3. Make a list of items that the local animal shelter is in need of and have a class or school drive to donate those items.
